So yeah, anyway, this is a painting by Antoni Piotrowski called *Spring* I love his use of colour, how everything is dark and dreary until you notice the light blue of the flowers, of new life. He uses this woman to show the duality of the female character. Notice her arms, how different they are in their positions and expressions; her left arm is holding up her dress, carefully protecting the flowers, and women generally do with their children, then examine her right, the strenght and purpose with which she holds the bouquet. The duality of women, our capacity to be loving and tender, as well as strong and unyielding in our attempt to change our world.
